Description

Kilmacolm Old Kirk is a Gothic Revival church located on High Street in Kilmacolm. The building features roughcast walls with stone dressings and includes a battletower, as well as a circular, slated tower at the southeast. The chancel, which dates back to the 13th century, has been incorporated as a vestry. The church was originally built between 1830 and 1831 by architect James Dempster from Greenock in the 1st pointed Gothic style using rubble. It was enlarged and recast in 1902.
