Description

Ridge Farmhouse is a late 16th-century farmhouse that has been altered in the 20th century. It is built with a rendered exterior, a slate roof, and brick stacks. The farmhouse has two storeys and five bays. It features irregularly placed 20th-century three-light casement windows, flat-headed dormers, a 20th-century door in the centre, and a plank door in the outer bay to the right. An outshut extends from the rear of the building.

Inside, a plank and muntin screen originally divided the kitchen from the rest of the house, located to the right of the cross passage. A fine moulded wooden cornice is present in the room to the left, with a frieze of half circles above a finely carved square-headed panel screen. This building holds group value from the period.
