Description

The Frith is a late 16th-century to 17th-century farmhouse, altered in the 20th century. Originally a timber-frame building, it was largely rebuilt and rendered, with a plain tiled roof and brick stacks. The house has an irregular L-shaped layout, extending over two storeys, with attics and a cellar. The front features three 20th-century metal casement windows and a central glazed door set within a projecting gabled porch. The two east gable ends retain four casement windows with 4 and 5 lights, featuring ovolo moulded surrounds and mullions. Inside, the kitchen (located at the rear right) has large stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
