Description
Upper Southwood is a late 16th to early 17th century farmhouse, with later alterations. The farmhouse is timber-framed with painted brick infill, a plain tiled roof, and brick end stacks. It is a single-story building with an attic. The original structure comprises three framed bays, featuring three 20th-century casement windows. A 2-light casement window is situated under the eaves on the left side, and a gabled dormer is on the right. The panels of the right-hand bay are set at a lower level, indicating a 20th-century extension. A 19th-century lean-to porch and door are located on the right side of the building.
