Description

Pudford Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of sandstone, partly covered in brick, and features a timber frame with brick infill, topped with a plain tile roof. There is a stone stack that is cased in brick on the left gable. The building has a basic T-plan, with timber-frame infill in the north-east angle, aligned east-west.

The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a moulded string course at the ground floor level. The windows are arranged irregularly, with most being stone mullioned. On the first floor, there are two 3-light casements set in double chamfered surrounds. The ground floor features a 20th-century French casement window to the left, a 4-light single chamfered window in the centre, and a small square window to the right, above which the string course rises.

The right gable end has been rebuilt and includes a datestone reading "RSN/ 1902," which is associated with a member of the Nash family. There is a gabled porch with a 20th-century panelled door. The left gable is stone cased in brick, a change made in 1983. The rear wing is built of brick, partially rebuilt, on a sandstone base, and features a timber frame with one bay and four square panels high to the wall-plate. The roof of the rear wing has two queen struts to the collar with V struts above.
