Description
This building complex includes a barn, cowhouse, granary, and outhouses, dating from the late 17th century and mid 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick set on a sandstone plinth and features plain tile roofs. The layout is U-shaped. Attached to the rear wing of the farmhouse is a late 17th-century garden wall, which has lean-to outhouses that were originally open sheds but are now used as storerooms. The base of the U is formed by a mid-18th-century barn, which has a hipped return and consists of six bays, with a threshing floor located off-center to the left and vertical ventilation slits. The two-bay return wing contains a cowshed on the ground floor and a granary above, both featuring brick coped verges.
