Description

Scar Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has undergone alterations in 1982. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and a plain tile roof, along with brick end stacks that have detached shafts and an oven on the right side. The cottage is one and a half storeys high and includes two 20th-century gabled dormers. There are four 20th-century casement windows arranged in three framed bays. On the left side, there is a blocked entrance with a flattened ogee doorhead, while the actual entrance is located on the left return front. The framing consists of three square panels high with straight angle braces, a right gable truss, and queen struts to the collar with V-struts in the apex. Additionally, there is a single brick addition at the rear that was added in 1982.
