Description

This is an early 17th-century house, altered in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. It is timber-framed with brick infill and has a plain tile roof. A central rubble stack with a brick shaft is prominent. The house is arranged in a T-shape, with the main entrance positioned in an angle. It has two storeys and three framed bays on the main range, with a gabled cross-wing to the right. The windows are irregular, with five 20th-century casements on the first floor. A central canted bay to the main range features early 18th-century leaded lights. To the left of the cross-wing is a timber-framed, two-storey porch with a gable. A single-storey timber lean-to is attached to the right of the cross-wing. The timber framing consists of six square panels extending to the wall-plate; the gable truss has three queen struts to the collar.
