Description
Ham Bridge House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber-frame structure with rendered infill, set on a rubble and brick plinth, and has a plain tile roof. The building is designed in an H plan, with the entrance located at the rear. The central range and the right cross-wing are 1½ storeys tall, while the left cross-wing is 2 storeys, and both wings have gabled roofs. The windows display irregular fenestration, with 19th-century casements on the first floor and additional windows on the ground floor. The attic of the central range is illuminated by gabled dormers. The framing consists of three square panels high to the wall-plate, supported by straight angle braces. The roof of the right cross-wing includes two queen struts with V struts at the apex, while the left wing features straight tension braces to the first floor and a truss with three queen struts and V struts at the apex. The framing of the left wing has three panels on the ground floor and two on the first floor.
