Description
Noak Lodge is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber-frame structure with painted brick infill, a rubble outshut, and a slate roof with a central brick stack. The gable end faces the road and the building is 1½ storeys high. There is a central door that is sheltered by a 19th-century gabled porch, and above the door are two plank weatherings that support the roof truss. To the left, there is a single-storey rubble outshut with a plain tile roof. The framing consists of two structural bays with square panels, three high to the wall-plate, and a gable truss featuring three queen struts with V struts in the apex. The gable walls have an X-brace in the panel above the door, which continues downwards to meet the main posts.
