Description
Dale Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with rendered infill set on a rubble plinth and has a plain tile roof. A rubble stack with a detached brick shaft is located at the right gable. The building is two storeys high and has a cellar. On the first floor, there are three 20th-century casements, and the structure consists of two structural bays. There is a cellar door to the left and a gable end entrance to the right, which has a 20th-century open tiled shelter against the stack that extends beyond the line of the cottage. A large 20th-century extension is present at the rear. The original framing includes three square panels high to the original wall-plate, with an additional panel raised in the 19th century, although the original gable trusses have been retained. The gables are now partly weatherboarded.
