Description

This is a detached cottage located 20 metres east of Hillbourne, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that is roughly cut and squared, topped with a triple roll clay tile roof featuring stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks at each end. The cottage has two storeys and three bays with irregular window arrangements. The windows are small-pane casements, mostly with two lights, and have dovetailed stone lintels below and timber lintels above. There is a plain boarded door set in a cambered arched wood frame, positioned in a matching opening to the right of the second bay. A small lean-to is attached to the north gable. The interior has not been seen.
