Description
Almonry Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. It is built of roughly cut and squared local lias stone with Ham stone dressings. The roof is thatched, with a stepped coped west gable and a half-hip to the east. A brick chimney stack is located on the west gable.
The cottage is single-storey with an attic, and has two bays. It features chamfered mullioned two-light windows with square heads and labels, containing small-pane casements, possibly of cast iron. A boarded door is set within a moulded four-centre arched opening with a curved label. A similar small window is visible on the west gable, with a more recent casement window directly below. A later outshut has been added to the rear. The interior is not described in the listing.
