Description

The High Ham War Memorial, built around 1919, is made of Ham stone. It features a cross topped with a canopied crucifix, and at the top of the octagonal shaft, there is a circlet of angels holding shields. The cross stands on an octagonal base, and on the south face, there is a stone plaque with a moulded top that reads: ‘TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF THE SONS OF HIGH HAM WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR OF 1914-1918’.
