Description
This is a house with a shop that dates from the early 19th century, located about 10 metres south west of the Old Bell House. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, with painted ashlar dressings. The building features a double Roman clay tiled roof behind a low parapet with a coped east gable and a brick chimney stack.
The structure has two storeys and consists of five bays. It includes a plinth, a string course, and moulded coping along the parapet. The shop front, which is from the 20th century, has a three-unit window and a glazed door to the right, flanked and separated by plain pilasters. Above the shop front are plain sash windows set in architraved surrounds. The interior has not been seen. This building is included primarily for its group and streetscape value.
