Description

This building is a garage and workshop located immediately north of No. 8 on The Green in Martock. It dates from the late 19th century and is constructed from coursed ham stone rubble with a hipped clay pantiled roof at the west end. The structure is two storeys high and consists of two bays. It features casement windows with large diamond and triangular panes, with 4 and 2-light windows above, and a 3-light window in the lower bay 1. The lower bay 2 has sliding timber doors set beneath a clay tiled false roof. The interior has not been seen. This building is noted for its picturesque appearance and is included mainly for its group value within a diverse collection of cottages surrounding the small green.
