Description
No. 14 Church Street is a mid-19th century house in Crewkerne. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with rusticated Ham Hill stone quoins, topped with a slate roof and stepped stone coping to the right gable end. The house has a double-depth plan and two storeys, originally arranged with a two-window front. A late 20th century door with overlight sits in the centre. A late 20th century horned 6/6-pane sash window is to the right; a gauged flat arch covers a similar sash window to the left, and another late 20th century window is located to the right of the first floor. The ground floor on the left has large double doors under a wooden lintel, possibly from the late 19th century, while the right-hand side has been rebuilt. There is a moulded stone cornice. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
