Description
This is a house dating to around 1850. The front facade is built of soft red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a Ham Hill stone plinth at its base. The remainder of the building is constructed from limestone rubble, topped with a slate roof featuring stepped stone coping and two brick ridge stacks. The design is symmetrical, with three windows on each floor. All the window and door openings have arched brickwork above them. The upper floor has six-pane sashes with stone sills and flat arches above. The front door is four-panelled and has a semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars set within a round arch; it is flanked by tripartite sashes with four panes each, also under flat arches. The interior of the house was not inspected during the listing process. An attached Ham Hill stone plinth to the right encloses the forecourt and supports decorative iron railings featuring trefoil heads and trellised supports. A matching gate is hung on modern brick piers.
