Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located about 15 metres north-north-east of the chancel of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ashill. It is likely from the 17th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth with plain sides and flanks, and it has cyma-recta coving leading to a heavy flat top. The inscriptions on the tomb are worn, but one commemorates a Richard who died in 1716.
