Description

This property comprises three houses, numbers 73, 74, and 75 Selwood Road, likely dating to the late 17th or early 18th century, with subsequent alterations in the 18th century. Number 75 appears to have been built around 1699, as evidenced by a will from 1715. Number 75 was altered in the mid-19th century with a front facade of coursed and dressed rubble stone, contrasted with the rubble construction of the other two houses. Each house has two storeys and one window. Numbers 73 and 74 feature wooden lintels and glazing bar sashes. Number 74 has a pair of later plate glass sashes on the ground floor, while number 75 exhibits cross-glazed sashes. Each house has a door on the left-hand side. The roofs are covered in pantiles, with brick chimneys. Number 75 has slightly higher eaves. Internally, numbers 73 and 74 have a newel staircase to the left of the fireplace, and feature moulded risers. A rear door has an ovolo moulded surround with stops.
