Description
This is a house located at 42 Naishes Street, built around 1693. It was raised in height and altered in the mid-19th century and refurbished around 1980. The exterior features thin coursed limestone rubble, with the upper part heightened in roughly squared limestone in courses of variable depth. The roof is covered with interlocking clay tiles. The house has a single cell double depth plan and is three storeys tall, having been increased from its original one and a half storeys.
On the ground and first floors, there is one window with 16 pane sashes, and on the second floor, there is a window with 12 panes; all of these are modern replicas set in blocked rendered surrounds. To the left, there is a four-panel door, also a modern replica, in a blocked rendered surround. A brick ridge stack is located at the right gable. The interior has not been inspected.
