Description

The Potato Store, located about 10 metres east of The Cider House, is an outbuilding that may have once served as a cottage. It dates from the 18th century and is constructed of local stone rubble, topped with a thatched roof that has a plain gable to the north and is half-hipped to the south. The building features six bays of double-collar trusses and has 20th-century metal windows on the west side. The south end is open under a weather-boarded gable, and there are several blocked openings on the east and west flank walls. A small lean-to is attached to the north-east corner. This structure is included mainly for its significant group value within the heart of the settlement.
