Description

This building is a warehouse, now partly converted into a dwelling known as Laurel Cottage. It dates from around 1836 and is constructed of coursed and squared lias rubble with a hipped slate roof and a pedimented gable on the front. The structure is square in plan and faces directly onto the former canal basin. It has three storeys and three bays, featuring small segmental-headed casements set in reveals, with two on the left that have been altered. There are three segmental-headed door openings in the centre bay, arranged one above the other, with plank doors; the first-floor door retains its hoist mechanism. The interior has mostly been stripped of its original features.
