Description
Woodgate Cottages consists of two cottages that form part of a row, located on Martin Street in Baltonsborough. Number 3 features an inscribed stone plaque on the front that reads "EB 1707," while number 2 is likely from the same period. The cottages are built from coursed and squared lias rubble and have a double Roman tile roof with large 20th-century brick ridge stacks. They are two storeys high and have a 1:2 bay arrangement.
Number 2 has 19th-century casement windows set in dressed stone surrounds, with the ground floor window featuring a stopped label. Number 3 has three-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned windows; the ground floor windows have been restored with concrete, while the first-floor windows retain some original leaded lights. There are two door openings: number 2 has a four-panelled door, and number 3 has a six-panelled door with the top two panels glazed, surrounded by a moulded dressed stone frame and a short section of weathered drip above.
