Description
The churchyard boundary wall for the Church of St Dunstan dates from 1820 and is located on the north and west sides of the churchyard. It is constructed from coursed and squared lias rubble with a segmental freestone coping, varying in height between one and a half and two meters. The wall on the west side measures 63 meters in length and runs in a north-south direction. There is a gateway directly opposite the west doorway of the Church of St Dunstan, featuring a pointed arch opening with a dressed stone surround. The coping ramps up on each side of the gateway, which is topped with a ball finial on a pedestal. Additionally, there is a further section of the wall in a matching style that extends 50 meters east-west along the north side of the churchyard.
