Description
Church House and Church View is a house and church hall, reputedly built by Abbot Richard Whiting of Glastonbury around 1550. It was rebuilt in the 17th century and underwent significant rebuilding and extension in the early 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed and squared lias rubble and features a glazed double Roman tile roof with coped verges and three 19th-century brick stacks. It has two storeys and an attic, with two small front-facing gables and five bays that display irregular fenestration, including three-light casements. There are two door openings: a flush panelled door with two small glazed panels on the left and a plank door on the right that leads to a through-way. A two-storey wing at a right angle to the right of the frontage is not of special interest.
