NORTH CADBURY CP WOOLSTON ROAD (South side, off) ST6327 8/180 The outer drive entrance gateway, about 100 metres north of North Cadbury Court 24.3.61 GV II

Gate piers. c1700. Doulting stone. Square piers on chamfered plinth, this almost buried; Ionic pilasters to conceal gate rebates; tops have dogtooth frieze, small cornice mould and scaled, bell-hip top surmounted by pecked neck and ball finial with acanthus decoration to lower halves. Pair wrot-iron gates between probably late C19; square rails with twist points, urn finials to ends and centres; curved braces and top rails. Important group value with North Cadbury Court (qv) and Church of St. Michael (qv).
