Description
The entrance gateway located about 90 metres south of St John's Priory is a structure from the later 19th century. It features piers made of Doulting stone and wrought iron gates. The piers are square in shape, with plain plinths, rusticated shafts, a deep frieze adorned with triglyphs, and a flat cap that includes an additional plinth, with scroll braces on each face. The gates are from the mid-20th century and may have been designed by Charles Bell.
