Description
Nicholas House is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with fine joints and features a hipped plain clay tile roof and brick chimney stacks. The house has two storeys and two bays, with sash windows in plain openings that have gauged brick flat arches and stone cills, featuring 12 panes above and 16 panes below. The entrance door is located in a lean-to on the east side, behind a flat coped parapet, and consists of a plain boarded door set under a rectangular fanlight. The west side of the house is rendered, and there is an extension at the rear. The interior has not been seen. In front of the house, there is a low lias stone wall topped with wrought-iron spear-pointed railings, which return to the house on the west side, and a matching gate on the east, enhancing the overall setting of the house.
