Description
The Britannia Inn is an inn built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and is colourwashed, topped with a double Roman clay tile roof that features coped gables. The building has two storeys and three bays. The first and second bays have flat-roofed angled two-storey bay windows with plain sash windows, while the third bay contains four-pane sash windows. Between each bay, there is a six-flush-panelled door set in beaded architrave, each topped with a pedimented hood supported by console brackets. The interior has not been seen. The inn is depicted in an engraving from 1860, at which time the bays had small-pane sashes.
