Description

Hope Cottage is a cottage dating from probably the early 19th century. It is built of local stone rubble that is coursed, and it has a plain clay tile roof with simple gables and brick end chimney stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor features 6-pane sash windows under exposed timber lintels, flanking a part-glazed door that is also under a timber lintel, which is protected by a sheet metal hood supported by wrought iron brackets. Above, there are two-light casements with single horizontal glazing bars. The interior has not been seen. Hope Cottage is one of a row of three cottages.
