Description
Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 19th century or earlier. It is constructed from local stone rubble and has a plain clay tile roof, which is half hipped on the southeast gable and has a plain northwest gable. The building features brick chimney stacks and has an 'L' plan layout. It is two storeys high with five bays, including a single storey projection from the northwest corner. The windows are small pane casements with two lights and have exposed timber lintels at the lower level. There is a glazed door beneath a simple sheet metal hood in bay three, while bay five has a 20th-century garage door with no window above it. The projection, which is a later 19th-century addition, includes a four-pane sash window and a boarded door. There is also a further extension at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
