Description
This is a range of farm buildings located about 30 meters east of Manor Farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 18th century. The buildings are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, sitting on a blue lias rubble plinth at the east end. The west end features coursed, squared blue lias with random rubble in between, and there is a blue lias plinth with raking buttresses made of blue lias. The west gable end is weatherboarded, and the entire structure is covered by a pantiled roof.
The layout includes an open-ended barn at the west end, which has a wall projecting about 5 meters in the north-west corner, possibly part of a garden wall. The central area serves as a cart shed, while the east end consists of a three-bay brick block, likely containing a loft over stables. The barn is open at both the east and west ends, with a central loft opening in the east block. Ground floor features include six-pane windows flanking a square-headed entrance, and a small square opening on the left side of the ground floor. The buildings that abut the right return at the east end are not included in this listing. Overall, this range of farm buildings forms a good group of simple vernacular architecture.
