Description

A range of farm buildings, arranged in an L-shape, located to the northeast of Church Farmhouse. These buildings date to the late 18th century and early 19th century. The main barn is timber-framed and clad with weatherboarding, featuring gable ends constructed from flint and brick. It has an old tile roof and five bays, with a lower, half-hipped bay at the eastern end. The central bay incorporates cart doors on the north side and a gabled projection with altered openings facing south. Hipped lean-to extensions extend along the remainder of the south side and at each end of the barn. Vent slits are visible in the gable ends. Inside the barn, the roof structure includes cranked principal trusses with curved braces to the tie beams. The eastern range contains a two- or three-bay cartshed to the left, two large loose boxes in the centre, and stables to the right. These sections are built of flint and brick, with dentilled eaves, and stepped, old tile roofs. The right-hand block features two stable doors and two windows on the front, along with a 19th-century half-hipped projection to the rear. A 20th-century machine shed with a corrugated asbestos roof is situated to the rear of the rest of the buildings.
