Description
97-98 Waterlip is a pair of attached houses that have been converted into a single dwelling. The buildings date from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. They are constructed of coursed rubble and feature a double-Roman tile roof, along with ashlar stacks that have moulded caps. The structure has two storeys and is arranged in a 2:2 bay configuration. It includes two and three-light moulded stone-mullioned windows, with two on the ground floor that have stopped labels. Some window lights have iron casements, while others have wooden casements. There are two door openings with plain freestone surrounds, each fitted with 20th-century plank doors. The doors are topped with restored pent hoods supported by cusped brackets and projecting square stone corbels.
