Description
Temple House Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located on Chelynch Road in Doulting. The building is constructed of stucco with a slate roof featuring coped verges and both concrete and ashlar stacks. It has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a 2:1:2 bay configuration. The windows are predominantly moulded 2-light mullioned and transomed stone windows, except for two in the attic storey that lack transoms. There are also sole iron casements and quadrants to the lights, along with some wooden casements.
Flanking the central door opening are two single-light windows. The entrance features a 6-panelled door set within a gabled ashlar porch that has coping topped with a ball finial. The outer door opening has a semi-circular head with a key. To the left, there is a lower height outshut with an asbestos slate roof and a tall concrete block stack. The first floor includes a 2-light stone-mullioned window, while the ground floor has 20th-century glazed doors.
