Description
The Poacher's Pocket is an inn that dates from the 18th century, with alterations from the 19th century. It features coursed and squared rubble, reconstituted stone, and brick stacks, topped with double-Roman tile roofs and coped verges. The building has an L-shaped frontage and is two storeys high, with three bays on the left and one bay on the right that projects under a front-facing gable. The left bays contain 2 and 3-light casements, each with a single horizontal glazing bar. The right bay has 2-light stone-mullioned windows with stopped labels. The principal door is located at the center of the left three bays, framed by a moulded stone architrave and topped with a triangular pediment on brackets, leading to a 20th-century door. The further bay to the right also has 2-light stone-mullioned windows. Inside, there is a fireplace featuring a wooden bressumer.
