Description
No. 7 Court Barton is an early 19th-century house located in Ilminster. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a pantile roof with stepped stone coping and brick stacks at the gable ends. The house is two storeys high and has a two-window range, following a two-unit central-entry plan. The front wall's construction suggests that it may have originally been a single-storey building. All openings in the house have wooden lintels. The entrance, located slightly to the right of centre, features a 20th-century six-panel door set in an exceptionally tall opening with an overlight above. Flanking the door are 20th-century six-over-six pane sash windows with horns, set in forward frames.
