Description
The Coach House and attached walls date from the early 19th century. It was originally a stable building, and is now a dwelling. The construction is of limestone rubble with a pantile roof. The south side is two storeys high, while the north side is single-storey and integrates with Court Barton. A carriage entrance is positioned to the far right, featuring a keystone and garage doors installed around 1980. To the right of centre are two small windows with pointed arches. The interior has not been inspected.
A high limestone rubble wall, topped with Ham Hill stone coping, is attached to the north-east corner of the Coach House. This wall curves to the south and connects to The Chantry, enclosing a courtyard that is entered through a gate with a pointed arch facing east. A similar attached wall extends westward for approximately 4 metres, turns at a right angle, and attaches to the south of No.5. A pointed arch in this stretch has been filled in.
