Description

Sparkford Hall is a detached house built in the mid-19th century, although it may include some earlier work, and was extended in the late 19th century. The main structure is made of Doulting stone ashlar, while the extension is constructed from lias stone that is cut and squared. The building features hipped roofs covered with Welsh slate and has ashlar chimney stacks with moulded caps.

The west elevation has two storeys and three bays, with a plinth and eaves courses. The windows are architraved, featuring 4-pane sashes on the upper level and French casements with toplights below. The lower bay three is blind. There is a projecting single-storey porch at bay two, designed in a classical style with Doric pilasters, solid side walls, and a plain entablature with a flat roof. This porch frames a part-glazed door beneath a plain rectangular fanlight.

On the north side, there is a major extension of two storeys with an attic, designed to largely match the original structure. The south elevation has four bays that match the west elevation. The interior has not been seen.
