Description

SPARKFORD CP OFF HIGH STREET (North-West side) ST62NW 4/160 Sparkford Hall II

Detched house. Mid Cl9, but possibly incorporating earlier work, extended late C19. Doulting stone ashlar, with extension in lias stone cut and squared; hipped Welsh slate roofs; ashlar chimney stacks with moulded caps. Two storeys, 3-bay west elevation. Plinth, eaves courses: architraved windows with 4-pane sashes above and French casements with toplight below, lower bay 3 blind: projecting single storey porch to bay 2 in classical style with Doric pilasters, solid side walls, and plain entablature with flat roof, framing part-glazed door under plain rectanglar fanlight. Major extension of 2 storeys with attic, largely to match, on north side. South elevation of 4 bays, matching west. Interior not seen.
