Description
Home Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse, part of which is now used as offices. It dates from the 17th century and is constructed of local grey lias stone that is cut and squared, with Doulting stone dressings. The building features a double Roman clay tile roof with coped gables and a hipped roof extension, along with brick chimney stacks.
The farmhouse has two storeys and consists of four bays, with the first bay being an extension that may also date from the 17th century. It has ovolo moulded mullioned windows, with three-light windows in the upper bays one, two, and four, and four-light windows in the lower bays one and two. The upper bay three has a two-light window. All windows are plain glazed, with some having wood and some having iron framed opening lights, and square labels above the lower windows. In the lower bay three, there is a boarded and studded door set in a heavy frame, which is sheltered by an open timber and tile hipped roof porch. The interior has not been seen.
