Description

Sparkford Bridge is a road bridge over the River Cam, built in the 18th century and widened in 1815. It is constructed from local grey lias and Ham stone. The bridge features a single segmental arch with double voussoirs, a band course at road level, and plain, slightly pitched parapets with chamfered copings. It is located at the junction of turnpike roads that are administered by the Wincanton and Ilminster Trusts.
