Description
The walls enclosing the garden to the west of Olands and the boundary wall to the north, which faces Butts Way, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of red sandstone random rubble and stand about 4.5 meters high. The southeast corner of the wall is adjacent to the rear elevation of Olands, while a stable block that has been converted into a dwelling completes the east side, although this dwelling is not included in the listing. On the south side, the wall is interrupted to accommodate a 20th-century dwelling, which is also not included. The northern wall is a prominent feature visible from Butts Way, buttressed on the north side, with a 2.5-meter high section facing the road.
