Description

14 Fore Street is an early to mid-19th century building with a dark red brick front, which projects forward to the right of number 12. It is a three-storey structure featuring an eaves gutter cornice with small brackets. Painted quoins are present, and the roof is not visible. The building has two windows with painted lintels and keystones. These windows contain sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals. A later 19th-century shop front is present, with a fascia supported by panelled pilasters. The shop window retains original divisions with fluted colonnettes, Gothic capitals, arched heads with chevron ornament, and foliated spandrels. An entrance is located in a splay to the left. Numbers 10 to 14 form a notable group.
