Description

Woolworth is a fairly large 18th-century house located on the north side of Fore Street. It has an altered ground floor and features a three-storey stucco front with end pilasters and a moulded eaves cornice. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. The building has three windows, with unusual small rectangular openings on the first floor. The sashes have thick glazing bars. The modern shop front includes older double wooden doors leading to a passage on the left. Woolworth is part of a group with Nos 17, 19, 19A, and Nos 21 and 21A.
