Description

18 Regent Street is a three-storey building dating from the 18th century, constructed of mottled red and yellow brick. The building has slate roofing, brick chimney stacks, and a plinth. Numbers 12 to 18 have one window front, while number 10 has two. A cill band runs along number 10. The windows are mostly small-pane sash windows with rendered lintels. Modern replacements include a tripartite window at number 14 and a window at the ground floor of number 10. A narrow, gated passage is located between numbers 12 and 14, leading to a contemporary shopfront with entrances on either side of a central window. This shopfront features a dentil cornice, a deep faceted entablature, and large console brackets. The building has mostly four-panel doors, with number 14 being part-glazed and number 18 having octagonal panels in the overlight. The right gable end is splayed. A cross wing extends to the rear, containing some small-pane sash windows.
