Description
The former pottery workshop is a 2-storey building with a whitewashed rubble front and a roof, featuring five bays but only three windows on the first floor, which are offset to the right. The ground floor includes doorways in alternate bays; the main entrance is now located to the left, next to a three-light window under a timber lintel. The central doorway has been partly infilled with a window and a narrower door, now under an iron lintel. There are two small windows beyond this, followed by boarded doors on the far right. The building has boarded doors and casement windows.
Inside, the building steps down towards the left end, with each section serving a different function in the slaughtering process. Ladders are set into the wall for access to the loft, and there are cast iron pulleys at the left end where carcasses were hung. A drain channel is visible in the yard.
