Description

This stable, dating from the 18th century, is located on the roadside adjacent to Sherwood. It is constructed of rubble with brick dressings, featuring Flemish bond brickwork on the right return. The stable has a hipped tile roof that slopes to the left. A notable feature is the broad semi-circular headed carriageway, which has paired plank doors. There is also a narrow adjacent plank door and a circular pitching eye above, which is accessed by a plank door. Additionally, there is a pitching eye on the right return and a semi-circular headed window with glazing bars.
