Description
Nos. 44 and 46 Hurst are two houses in a row, dated 1830. They are constructed of Ham Stone ashlar and feature a Welsh slate roof with a sawn stone ridge between coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of six bays in total.
On the ground floor, there are hollow-chamfered mullioned windows set in shallow recesses without labels, with a 2-light window in bay 1 and 3-light windows in bays 2, 4, and 6. The upper floor has alternating 2- and 3-light casement windows. There are boarded doors in plain openings between bays 3 and 4 and to bay 5. Additionally, bay 3 features a door with a top light set in a 3-centre arched plain opening. At the eaves level between bays 1 and 2, there is a fielded panel inscribed "Brains Row 1830". The interiors have not been seen.
