Description
The coach house, now used as a store, dates from the early 18th century and is located approximately 30 meters south of Westerholme. It was partly rebuilt and restored in 1986. The structure is built from limestone rubble with brick window arches and Ham Hill dressings, topped with a slate roof. It features a forward-facing Dutch gable. To the left, a straight flight of stone steps leads from the ground to a platform at first-floor level, where there are 20th-century double doors set beneath a brick semi-circular arch with a four-pane fanlight. The east front was rebuilt in 1986. Inside, the left-hand former cart store has a flagged floor and a large lintel spanning the former entrance, while the right-hand former stable retains iron hay baskets. This building is included for its group value.
